The next solicitor who knocks on my door is getting unmasked me, and then none of us will be happy.
Going to a mini painting event this evening in an attempt to socialize. Really trying to be better about existing in public more often so that I can meet new people. But it's overwhelming.
The problem is that our GM has put an attractive, broody vampire in front of us, and I am somehow expected to be normal about it. I play changelings for a reason.
I have mostly caught up from my time out of office, and my brain is already melting. This cycle of rest followed by immediate overwhelm cannot be good, but I haven't figured out a better way yet.
I should get up and go for a walk or read my book or do some laundry or something.
But alas, I am stuck here on this couch despite my better efforts.
Changelings
Many cultures have folklore about children being replaced overnight with an identical “other” child.
Many of these folktales even attribute what are now known as Autistic traits to the “new” child.
It’s easy to see that many of these stories are *about* Autistic children.
One of our neighbors has some very loud drum music going on right now and I might actually lost my mind.

Today was an excellent mail day. Got the Ugmonk capture system so that I always have note cards handy when I need them. Also picked up Lautie's Beetlecrash, which is a most excellent little fidget. It's got good weight to it and has a very satisfying combination of tactile response and sound.
