"im not asking for praise but" {whiny missive about how we should grovel to them for treating us like human beings}
no one is gatekeeping you from allyship, this is the biggest piss baby thing to whine about lmao please grow up
like honestly this is fucking disgusting
some MAGA level dissembling when caught saying it will be funny when trans people get taken to camps on trains
so you think people deserve to be carted off in trains by the GOP if they aren't nice enough to you?
Parents in the South are organizing to support their trans kids. And it turns out, the vast majority of parents with trans kids support them, contrary to the myth that it's so very hard to do. May these courageous families set an example for all. @translash.org translash.org/wire/parents...
Rebecca Solnit said respectability is dog shit
if you're an ally you should buy a trans person hrt
The United States is a country where people believe the government should have absolute control over your endocrine system for the glory of their god, who wants to destroy the world in nuclear fire
THIS IS AMERICA
he's about to lose a war that's been over for a decade, too
and honestly there is nothing more heinously transphobic as advocating that someone is undeserving of transitioning or defending someone who does. like this is the exact shit that caused me to break away from these people in the first place. "i would give HRT to my biggest hater"
yeah im getting vague recollections of this from last feb, this is when you were asking for help contacting asuka, and you probably said something unkind about KTP, which is as far as i know does not meet the threshold of "heinously transphobic"
Everyone deserves to transition, but I wouldn't expect an Aegis lackey to know that.
lmao you have no idea
likewise - unsubscribe from listifications! you don't need your phone to buzz in your lap tell you every time someone decides they don't like you! you are staring into the abyss and you aren't ready for it to stare back
i would start by listening to trans people when we tell you what kind of support actually helps us instead of accusing us of gatekeeping
it's not "gatekeeping" support, it's asking people to place more value on materially helping us that are bearing the brunt of the anti-trans policies than you put on saying that you support us.
i've started saying like, its okay to acknowledge that people on hrt and people not on hrt have different experiences because the diversity of transness is beautiful and is our strength
The New York Times coverage of trans issues has repeatedly resulted in experts and others complaining that their words were twisted and misrepresented... but only those quoted from on trans supportive side have that complaint.
Coincidence or eliminationism? @billiejsweeney.bsky.social dives in.
"social issues" are not distinct from economic issues, part ten million bsky.app/profile/the-...
she did, that's where i saw it
not the first otter on here i have had a bad experience with but certainly the worst
yeah its fucked and he is a genuinely bad otter
he is, for now
Washington Post had an article about this earlier this week and its literally just that they're not going to talk about the mass deportations, not that they're changing their policies, what are we even doing
lmao
scrambling like jet fighters
And not because of an error, either.
They INTENTIONALLY will never have the nuance you want.
That's a feature, not a bug, for them.
They WANT to censor innocuous things for obviously spurious reasons. The flimsier the better!
They want it because it strengthens their hold on power over others.
lmao come on what
"perceived"
