Just presenting the facts. You mentioned US coal while ignoring China's much greater dependence on coal. Compare the above graph for China with this one for the US. And at 5.0% vs 4.2% of total energy from wind, China is hardly leaving the US behind in that dust.
China is a lot longer than a decade away from replacing coal.
