it's always a relief and a delight when you sit down with a fellow creative and you discover that both of your attitudes on AI can be summed up as "oh my god, fuck AI"

every day as a trans person doing creative work is forcing yourself to not focus on the nightmares and hunker down and keep doing as good a job as you can in the hope that for a brief window you can fulfill your drive and get your art into the world before the hammer falls on you too
I pretty much always write in first person present tense. I just find the immediacy of being inside one person's head for a narration works out well - you get to have fun characterization through the narration, and you get to be in exactly as much of the dark as a reader as the focus character is~
