G has tough scar tissue in some spots above her eyes toward ears--I think those patches are numb (even when fully healed), which is why when she perceives itch there, she really mauls herself. at the moment we're good, but I'm hypervigilant, I've seen it quickly snowball. we'll see what vet says

....and as I was typing she just scratched open a small spot near her mouth. ffs. plus ca change...

I hesitate to say this, but atm *really* good. as in: healed. still taking HESKA 2x day and certirizine as needed. I do notice when *my* allergies require benadryl (dust), she's also v itchy (dust mites). vet checkup next week. how's yours?

it was the "special" gym class, it was the (very very) obvious lift on one shoe, etc. but it also gave me the gift of practicing compassion, so there's that

(I speak as someone who grew up with a leg-length discrepancy significant enough to need surgical correction-- but the orthopedically-different shoes I had to wear from ages 6-11 made me a target for bullies)
