Hmm… have we hit upon a low energy air conditioning solution for hot summer months?… just hang loo seats in front of an ordinary fan in all your ground floor rooms… πŸ€”

Oh enough of that. You look great. And it was a date at Ikea FFS. You can do better than 15 meatballs and free coffee refills.

Onwards and upwards. Also that is a very nice dress.

Struggling to think of any… except that heat rises so maybe nearer floor level is colder on ground floor?

It just seemed a natural state of things when you mentioned it…

I think downstairs toilet seats are ALWAYS colder.

I hadn’t thought about it til you mentioned it, but I think I like your orange things best. Whether foxes, squirrels or traffic cones.

Was looking at TGV between Paris and Italy for β€˜reasons’ - could get a one way ticket next day for about Β£30.

When I look at European rail I get a small sense of what our American friends must feel looking at our Health Service

Well, I don’t disagree. But there have to be powerful reasons we do almost everything the US tells us to. As every PM does it… Its simply more glaring now with an obvious despot in charge.

Here’s a curious thing - when you catch a train in Europe they DON’T smell faintly of sewage.

Literally every UK PM since Suez has fallen into lockstep with the US, even where it’s threatened their standing personally. Do we REALLY think that was always a preferred choice?

If we ever got a PM Polanski I would be fascinated to see what power he ACTUALLY finds he has when he gets there.
