Predictions regarding Iran are currently little more than wishful thinking. The situation is uniquely complex, and there is (imo at least) a persistent failure in the US to recognize that Iran represents a shift in kind, not just degree, from previous Middle Eastern adversaries.

Yes, this is hilarious, but it's also fascinating how utterly *weak* all these men are. It seems that being a Republican man is just letting the loudest guy in the room humiliate you. Why would anyone want to be this kind of person?

The Laid-off Scientists and Lawyers Training AI to Steal Their Careers
Experienced white-collar workers are now part of a miserable gig economy.
This is why AI "inspiration" - slop outputs fed into new chatbots - creates an near-immediate systemic collapse, and also why tech companies want to turn human creatives into little piggies that do nothing but feed the slop machine, because they *know* it's unique and valuable

And, obviously, someone's going to say "But human writers read and are inspired by other writers" - yes, of course they are, but that blends with human experiences, struggles, sensory inputs and emotions to create *novel* novels. This is where all those previous books came from!!!

If they're so worried Dear Leader will lose his shit that they're not wearing his shoes, why don't they just go buy the same brand shoe in their size? He's not going to notice as long as it looks right.
None of them, not even Trump, realizes that this is an intelligence test.
And they all failed.

I've been trying to tell people about this for months. Go on LinkedIn and search jobs for "AI". Dozens of ads for AI training in any profession. Salaries higher than you can make in the profession.
Can't make a living writing? Here's $40/hour to teach AI the craft you've spent a lifetime building.

Both of the options here are human writers. The first option is unprocessed human writing and the second option is human writing run through a language model to reproduce the same outputs with different words
If it couldn't have existed without training data, it isn't creating anything at all.

Dems score upset win in New Hampshire special election, giving GOP fresh reason to worry
The more Democrats win closely watched races, the more Republicans should be concerned about the 2026 midterms.
Dems just scored an upset win in a New Hampshire special election:
Democrat Bobbi Boudman won the special election for Carroll County District 7, defeating Republican Dale Fincher 51-47% in a district that voted Republican by more than 13 points just 16 months ago.
