was going through my stream setup and forgot I made this for when I used to stream salmon run solo, which went about as well as you would expect.

Hey Bluesky friends, it's been a long time! But the latest episode of artlab is out now! It took me an entire year to make and I gave it a pretentious video essay title. check it out!

Hey blue sky friends, we are live with psudeoregalia! Feel Fre to come say hi!
youtube.com/live/ga-enAw...
And that's everything! It was a lot of fun making this, and I already have ideas for more!
as a thanks for making it to the end, here's the smash 64 themed background I made for the video, as well as the chibis I did for the ending sequence.
Finally, for the finale, Yagi's art has a very romantic, cutesy couple, GFE vibe to it. I took that pillar of their work and applied to one of the most unhinged but also relevant subjects I could work it into.
Mike and Melissa.
whoops I forgot I also did Fanalis from Fullbokko heroes. Never got to play the game as I'm not japanese, but I'm very familiar with the art.
Also this one gave me the most trouble, again, due to these posemaniacs references I used. At the end of the day I still love the results though.
Megumin from konosuba, but also chomusuke. (yes I know this has lore implications). It was a doujin idea I had years ago that I never finished, and I want to return to it someday (perhaps soon?)
Nijika Ichiji from Bocchi the rock. This is probably the closest I got to Yagi's style & technique. I'd probably use this example to inform myself If I were to continue.
There's a kemono artist I enjoy called x.com/kinshun76501 , who doesn't have a bluesky, but I drew one of their characters Dark Itou Sora.
I was using a randomizer wheel for pretty much all of this, and there were many ocs on the list, but this was the only one selected.
A certian monster of the pocket sized variety, perhaps the four hundred and ninety second one. Wanted to make her a bottom heavy short stack but I kind of got fucked between trying to be informed by the reference and implementing my vision. Even then Im still a fan, one of my favorites.
Inuhiro MImimi, a character from Chunithm originally designed for the game by @kishibel.bsky.social This ones a low key banger except for the odd cropping from bad reference.
Miia from monster Musume. I have a lot of issues with this one, but I wanted to not do a bunch of fixing off screen for this project. gotta keep it genuine.
Another OC, Tanuki Gyaru. I think its lacking from the original concept drawing I did, but Its still pretty cute.
One Of My OC's whose working name is JAAGs (just another anubis girl). this was probably the turning point for this project.
blazer mates from Medabots. I do like this one but it doesn't really capture the spirit of the artist we are trying to emulate.
as a special treat for bluesky, I've decided to go ahead and post the results of the study a little earlier than twitter!
starting out with Hibiki from symphonogear! this was a request from a discord and It isn't great, but trial and error is all part of the process.
GREETINGS BLUESKYFANS.
earlier this week I posed a video in a new series called "ARTLAB", a show where I study the various art and artists whose work inspires me. Our first subject was the wonderful
@yagithegoat.bsky.social , aka Yagi the goat, and it was a lot of Fun!
