I find it extremely difficult to believe that anyone experiencing what honestly looks like the apocalypse is going to regard it as a form of liberation or that anyone responsible for it actually cares about how Iranians regard it at all.
You start to realize the era of the nation state is long since dead and that everything that happens is wealth and oligarchical class jockeying for power between people and groups that sometimes partner and sometimes hold the global economy hostage in a perpetual game of chicken.
