Funny. I have similar geneology. My Italians were also an early migration in 1879, ending up in Hartford. My early American branch got here sometime before 1648. It turns out, in an odd bit of serendipity, I'm 10th cousins with my husband through that great-grandfather. Maybe we're cousins too.
