I read a really good essay once about Skyfall that touches on how it's sequences are moving back in time stylistically through the ages of Bond-esque action movies which has always stuck with me!

Also, Home Alone but with guns is fun.
Yeah, I'd put Skyfall as my favourite of the Craig ones. The whole opening sequence is one of the best action pieces in the series, and the bit where Bond opens his garage to reveal the classic Aston Martin and the score kicks in is how you do a franchise callback properly.
Has there been any explanation from Spotify as to why they’re fraudulently uploading AI slop to verified artist accounts as ‘new releases’ yet?
I haven’t seen much chat about it, but among musicians this a real topic of discussion. People are very disturbed.
I was thinking of this one (also eligible for Mexico and the US):
Can't say Pelé is the best vocalist ever but it is, you know, Pelé
A mushroom on a woodland floor. It has a double stalk and from this angle it looks very like a pair of legs, a human bottom and a hitched up skirt exposing same.
Looks like a fun guy.
I absolutely loved Hildur’s THE NIGHT GUEST so USAians you should get on this if you like unsettling, sparely-written horror that lasts long in the soul:
Dumas is, as the kids say, the goat. So fun. And so much weird French historical politics I'd have had no clue about if I'd not come across it in one of his novels.
a sketch of a smartphone with tactile buttons for home/window/back, headphone jack, no AI BS, sim card thingy you can open with your nail, camera that doesn't cover the damn screen, and a 5 inch/127mm screen which is a reasonable size
I wouldn't say I'm massively into phones or anything but I sketched this out of frustration bc why are there no modern phones with these features, it would be so perfect and I'm mad the only ones are old and slow
The parents in the study were interested in the toy's potential to teach language and communication skills. However, their children frequently struggled to converse with it. Gabbo didn't hear their interruptions, talked over them, could not differentiate between child and adult voices and responded awkwardly to declarations of affection. When one five-year-old said, "I love you," to the toy, it replied: "As a friendly reminder, please ensure interactions adhere to the guidelines provided. Let me know how you would like to proceed."
This is so tragic it's actually incredibly funny
Yeah, and to prove your thesis, they have an area looking extremely like that in the latest Dragon Age.
I'm really curious how many are in the same part of the Venn-diagram as me and went "Bis had particularly noteworthy opinions about The Mummy? I mostly remember them singing about Daleks. Also, I thought they'd split up by the then?" on first seeing the title.
Been sitting on this news for a while! There's going to be a Children of Time TTRPG courtesy of the amazing folk at Rowan Rook and Decard (Heart, Spire, DIE, Eat the Reich and many more).
And suddenly I'm filled by the urge to play a game of Mastermind.
Or this one. For France, confusingly.

That's an impressive baguette he's got there.
When I was younger, I never quite realised just how good The Ribos Operation is.
The Gaping Gateway was a cheeky nod to a certain well-known tavern in another realm. It is designed with different ways to set up a lift, and is a pretty cool centerpiece for tavern spectators to enjoy. I often use the lift in cavern settings, too! #dnd #ttrpg #paperterrain #dndterrain
Add all of Tolkien's songs back in, but all performed by Vic Reeves in the club style
"You know what he is! Why not kill-" he began, but he was interrupted.
"Because it doesn't matter what he is. It matters what we are."

An extract from Paul C. Sinding's 1858 volume 'History of Scandinavia', which reads: 'The history, therefore, of Scandinavia, through the first eight centuries after Christ, until King Gorm the Old, is properly and correctly called 'the Fabulous Age'
Petition to once again - properly and correctly - refer to late Scandinavian prehistory as 'the Fabulous Age'.
It's the only way to convey how much Ottar Vendelkråka slayed.
Must. Stop. The Train.
And I thought "least yellow cards" was getting to a point where we might as well re-introduce the coin flip.
Digital gouache painting Constable Earstripe from T.Kingfisher‘s Saint of Steel Series. He is a gnole (essentially, badgerfolk), and is bipedal and clad in leather armour and carrying a spear.
Constable Earstripe. I’m currently reading the „Saint of Steel“ series by T. Kingfisher. It has romance, hilarity, absurdity, horror, and badgerfolk, a.k.a. gnoles!
I’m also working on a gouache brushset for Procreate, which this was made with. =)
I'm opposed because it ruins the one 'interesting' fact I know about the banknotes, which is that everyone on them either died at 41 (Austen, Turing) or has been played by Timothy Spall (Churchill, Turner).
