@Neddyo Cool! I think @Mdphunk solved it. The bid was $9.5m but after taxes and auction fees it was $11.5m. That makes more sense to me because I'm seeing that "almost $12m" number in a lot of the articles I just searched.
@Mdphunk @Neddyo Ah, thank you. That's probably what got it up to $11.5m
@Neddyo I pulled from this article which said $11.5m: https://americansongwriter.com/jerry-garcias-tiger-guitar-sells-for-millions-as-david-gilmours-black-strat-remains-the-most-expensive-ever/
Close up of Jerryβs famous βTigerβ guitar which has a beautiful tiger inlay below the fretboards. The guitar is a very dark wood with tips that look like horns.
At the same auction, Jerry Garcia's βTiger' guitar sold for $11.5 million.

David Gilmoreβs black Fender Stratocaster is hanging on a plain white wall from a hook. The guitar has the classic Strat body and is jet back. βThe Black Stratβ is written on the wall above the guitar. Some old white dude is looking at it awkwardly. Would have been a better photo without the guy in it.
David Gilmoreβs black Stratocaster used to record βDark Side of the Moon,β βWish You Were Here,β βAnimals,β and βThe Wallβ sells for a record $14.5 million dollars.
The previous record for a guitar at auction was $6 million for Kurt Cobain's acoustic guitar [β¦]

I haven't been yet, but I've heard this venue in #Raleigh is amazing. On the Neuse River, close to downtown, camping and killer festivals. Hoping to go this year.

Baseball post about the Israeli baseball team getting eliminated from the World Baseball classic. However, thereβs a HUGE graphic that just reads βISRAEL ELIMINATEDβ with the flag, so I instantly thought it was about something else entirely as all the baseball logos on the post are really small.
Did not think MLB on FOX quite intended this effect when they posted about the Israeli team getting knocked out of the World Baseball Classic. I did a spit-take when I saw this.

The show at the Nippon Budokan Hall Tokyo on March 11 was being filmed for a documentary and recorded for a live album, and-without telling their bandmates-Billy and Poncho dropped acid before going on. "We did 'Cowgirl in the Sand' and Billy and Ralph went up to sing the backgrounds," Poncho continues. "I opened my eyes and saw big manda- las comin' out of the back of both their heads, all these colors 'n shit. I couldn't even look up, I was so high. I'd hit the strings of my guitar-they were like eighty different colors and they bounced off the floors and hit the ceiling. At the end of the second song Neil came runnin' over, stuck his head between me and Billy and goes, 'Man, we're psychedelic tonight!' ] just looked at Billy, thinkin', 'He told him, he told him.' The whole rest of the night I don't even think we made a mistake. It was unbelievable."
