you might notice i drew a faint outline to help guide myself where the shadows should be. I roughly follow this outline when using the lasso tool.

To get this shading appearance what I did was layer multiply adjustment layers on top of each other!

(note on the 3rd pic I didn't use blue, i just set the layer color to blue so it's clear where I painted but the actual color is warm grey)
