This sounds absolutely wonderful
I hope you are too! Thanks for making such cool weapons!
This is a beautiful sword! Check out @archangelsteel.bsky.social for your Christmas needs!
I'm one of the CoFounders of this new site. We should be entering beta in the next few months. #ttrpg #dnd #dnd5e #pathfinder
Thanks!
Absolutely!
Steve made this custom Paladin sheath & frog for a customer and then modeled it for me, but he wasn't wearing a belt, so...
I got him to pirouette! So graceful.
🩰 🦢 Think he needs a pair of steel-toed ballet slippers.
"Dagsbrún" is an old Icelandic word for daybreak or the first ray of daylight.
A metal collar with a rich Celtic style engraving on it. It lays on a leather breastplate that has been dyed brown with leather lacing around the outside of it.
A powersupply that has two wires running from it to a small black plastic garbage can. Several tools are in the foreground. This is the electro etching bath with a salt and water solution. Presumably the metal piece to be etched is inside.
A piece of metal that is roughly "U" shaped with a sticker/vinyl laid out in a Celtic Pattern.
Some people have asked me how I did the metal engravings on my armor. I used a Cricut vinyl cutter and applied to the metal then used electro etching (salt bath and a powersource). #crafting #art #fantasyart #armor #larp #renfaire #ttrpg #dnd
Thanks so much, @archangelsteel.bsky.social !
Thanks!
This is an awesome sheath. I love the Dagsbrun name across it and the awesome symbol near the tip. #larp #renfaire #dnd #dnd5e #fantasyart

Wow, thats interesting. I had no idea that existed.
My nearest Ren Faire, of any size, is the Colorado Ren Faire. I regularly go to that one and to the Phoenix Ren Faire.
A black hilted sword in a black scabbard. The scabbard has embossing on it - runes and a wolf like figure. There are leather straps on the sword, to hold it to a belt, and to add decoration further down. It also has a Celtic tree on it with gold leaf embedded in it.
Here is a scabbard I did for my wife's sword. I'll post later the display I made for it. #art #fantasyart #ttrpg #dnd #dnd5e #pathfinder #crafting #leathercraft #renfaire #larp
A picture showing a black "hand and half" sword. It also shows a small dagger shaped like a Cutlass with a silver blade and bronze accents.
The dagger is in the upper right. Its Steel, but it has been acid etched. Both weapons in this picture were purchased from sabersmith.com
Thanks so much!
Great points. I hadn’t considered all of those before! Thanks
Thanks!
Random Thought: I love Cosplay, but when I see how much work people put into it, I wonder "Why don't they just make it real, rather than foam and glue, etc.?" I had never done metal armor until recently and I was shocked at how easy it was and took very few tools. Same with Leather. #cosplay
Hey, thanks! He's far outgrown it. Maybe I should consider selling it.
Thats awesome! That makes for a very imposing figure!
Leather responds well to water. If you get leather wet you can shape it into just about anything. Once it dries, it holds its shape.
Also, I just kind of winged this. I cut out paper to see how it would work together, etc. Then I cut out the leather to match. It took me about a week.
Yes, they were a bit jealous at the time.
LOL! I'm glad you and your boys like it. I think people avoid making things out of leather because "Its got to be harder, right?". But its actually pretty easy - but it does have a learning curve.
I'd love to see it! Thanks for the compliment!
Hey thanks! I sure appreciate it Alex!
A teenage boy wearing a brown leather mantle and black armor wielding a dagger. The armor is made up of pauldrons, breastplate, and tassets. He's weilding a large goblin dagger.

I made this armor set years ago for my son. It was one of the first sets I made. I was essentially starting from scratch. Its made of a much lighter leather (6oz I think) than what I use today. #ttrpg #larp #renfaire #dnd #dnd5e #pathfinder #crafting #leathercraft #fantasyart
Thank you so much!
This took about 4 months. It could've gone quicker, but I didn't have a strong plan, or the necessary equipment from the get go.
I'm loving this Gladius! I'd love to build a scabbard for this one day. Its gorgious.
Hey, Thanks!
