Lackadaisical about social media. I’m here for weird Anglicans, theology, fountain pens, books, cats, and memes. Big Bend enthusiast. Seminarian (go Thuribulls!) and Candidate for the priesthood in the Episcopal Church. She/her.

It was wonderful, locker room and walk down the hallway in a swimsuit be darned.
In an hour, I'm going to an aqua strength training class for the first time. This involves being in a swimsuit in the public. A friend is picking me up, which is the only thing that's going to get me out of the house for this.
It’s a shame that class didn’t live up to its name, because it sounds awesome. Most of mine were boring as well, but there were a few gems.
Never mind jobs you had, tell me five classes you took in college
1. Ancient Technologies
2. Visual Culture on the Skids
3. The Anthropology of HIV
4. Astrophysics for Science Majors
5. Romantic Literature
New from my Liturgical Theology professor.
Adventures in seminary - checking the syllabi and somehow I'm already behind even though classes haven't started yet. Every semester, lol. Snow days are for reading and coffee.
They shot Renee Good in the face.
They kidnapped Liam Ramos.
They just executed a man on the street.
Unmask them. Prosecute them. No more secret police.

People like glass showers and regular glass breaks into artery-slicing danger shards? 🤷♀️
Ha! It sure is
I worked in residential glass for awhile, and the trade off of tempered glass is it’s brittle and easy to shatter from being heated and cooled repeatedly, especially if the frame weakens so the glass has more pressure on a corner.
Yes. Tempered shower panels do that pretty often.
Generally, living a block from the UT Austin campus is pleasant enough. On UT v A&M game night, it is not so okay.
So. Much. Noise.

Aw, yiss
Congratulations!
This is so wholesome tho
I visited a different local parish for the baptism of a dear friend's son (and to become a godparent!). The hymns were bangers today. Top notch all around.
Still gives me the heebie-jeebies, lol
Unfortunately I do
This is absolutely perfect
Semiarian here, and my seminary is having active conversations about it, both in the curriculum about its presence in future ministry, and about institutional policies about it. Interestingly, faculty seem more favorable to it than the students are by a wide margin.
A crucial part of staying home on Halloween to write a paper about the Pelagian Controversy is dancing around in sock feet to Dead Can Dance.
Today was my first time preaching in a parish. I was extremely nervous, and it went like...a first sermon in a parish. In other words, church today was awesome!
Some evenings, I just need to make a grilled cheese and curl up in a blanket.
There's a Japanese grocery near me that has opened my eyes to good rice. I usually buy Calrose, though - it's good and not prohibitively expensive where I am.
Joy is being asked to assist with a research project that is *precisely* at the intersection of two of my favorite interests to explore. Happy nerding awaits! not so #tinyjoys
I'm so happy for you!
Just wonderful. An ordinary Sunday that was surprisingly healing in an intense weekend.
