And juuuuuuuuust in case anyone is furiously writing an angry screed about my depiction of an average Southerner living in The South, let me remind you I grew up in *South Carolina,* a state so backwards and hick-infested it makes MS looks like Greenwich Village circa 1968.
When asked for comment, local Mississippi residents said:

I had "liberal" voters in mind when I wrote that.
Sure, theoretically there are people "inside" who could prevent/stop this, or just in the RW, but I'm doubtful. The rot is all the way through, from surface to core. There are none left who will help.
It's folks like us who know, but cannot say.

There's just something about that guy that always, always annoyed me.
