Yep, and a blast!
Yep, and a blast!
Out of all the recent crossovers, ALIEN VS CAPTAIN AMERICA is the best. Gorgeous artwork, a story that could have been a great Cap story even without the xenomorphs, gnarly extraterrestrial violence. Itβs great!
In the last year, the rights went from Paramount back to Brooksfilm to Janus. I assume a 4K will be coming soon. In the meantime, rights on the original deal probably lapsed.

As long as Arnold Schwarzenegger is working on nothing but legacy sequels, might I interest him in my spec script for ITβS STILL THE END OF DAYS.
We had a great time in Comfort and Boerne, Texas this weekend. Communed with nature, desecrated memorials, bought a lot of books and pickles. 10/10, would recommend.
Itβs like finding a Weekend at Bernieβs themed bar in Port Aransas. Oh, waitβ¦
Dark Side Brick Oven in Boerne.
The PREDATOR-themed bar is connected to a pizza place that is themed around the subconscious of @alancerny.bsky.social. The β80s theme was legit - down to the fact that they serve their pizza on styrofoam plates. Remember when we didnβt care about the environment? Darkside Brick Oven Pizza does.
Went to the PREDATOR-themed bar in Central Texas. Left before the Rod Stewart cover band started playing, unfortunately.
There are no lies in this post.
May Kristi Noem enjoy the rest of her life in obscurity, forgotten and discarded, like a candy bar wrapper smushed into the canyon between a carseat and its armrest.
do y'all fuck with the condiment sow i saw at the rodeo
On the bookshelves October 13th. Hope yβall like it:
Slowly but surely catching up on films from last year and TRAIN DREAMS is stunning. Just an incredible feat of filmmaking in that it made me long for a time and place that I 100 percent know Iβd be miserable living in.
A fun night at the River Oaks Theatre with a rare screening of the 1997 comedy THE WRONG GUY, followed by a Q&A with actors and co-writers Dave Foley, David Higgins, and Jay Kogen.
Plus I got some autographs.
One day I was sitting at the office when I got an email in my inbox from Andrew W.K. with the subject line βI heard you liked to party hard.β I lost my shit before I opened the email and realized somebody just just signed me up for Andrew W.K.βs mailing list.
One of the cruelest pranks ever.
I never made a LEGO set until I was 40. I regret to inform you that I am very much a LEGO guy now.
I just backed MORSELS Presents... One Good Scare on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/jmi...
I was extremely honored to host comedy legends Dave Foley, David Higgins, and Jay Kogen for a screening of THE WRONG GUY at the River Oaks Theatre last night. Super nice guys, super funny film. Thanks to @antisoci-al-tran.bsky.social for grabbing the photo of the Q&A.

Houston, you gotta go to this! Dave Nelson from WNYX and 1/3 of Higgins Boys and Gruber live in person !!!
This is an incredible opportunity to watch a criminally underseen comedy on the big screen and listen to true comedy legends in a Q&A after the screening. Donβt miss it!

Of course, it's with Paramount that Max Landis finds his way back into Hollywood.
deadline.com/2026/02/g-i-...
Paramount's biggest ticket seller last year was a flop and somehow they can buy the studio that had seven of the top 20 movies? I never would have passed business school, I guess.
Yup. It's going to be like Disney buying Fox all over again. A major studio will be stripmined for IP.
Other folks in exhibition will call me crazy, but Netflix buying Warner Brothers really was the better option. They care about movies, fund cool films, and their theatrical team is great to work with. WB would have elevated Netflix's theatrical game. Paramount owning WB adds nothing to the industry.
