This pretty much sums it up.

Just posted my first in a series over on substack to share and demystify some of the work that I do as a coffee and beverage consultant.

No surprises from this year, Manwolves is lower than expected (yall should listen to them) but good year for music.
Cheeky lilβ cappuccino for my morning βοΈ.
Featuring a pink champagne co-ferment from Comeback Coffee, and one of my favorite mugs from Others Coffee here in DC.
Reggie! Iβve heard your name a few times and we keep not crossing paths. Once I get the program fully ready, if we still havenβt ran into each other we should chat coffee!
Work continues to be underway at SOST DC, with our soft opening next month:
Look at how pretty this βοΈ equipment is, such a blessing to be working on some great equipment after the experiences in my last role.
@rtgame.bsky.social being my favorite gaming creator on YouTube is no surprise.
Setting up the coffee bar for Sost, a new lounge/vinyl cafe/speakeasy coming to DC early next year (soft opening next month!).
Feeling blessed to be tinkering with a mod bar system for the first time, what a cool piece of equipment.

Saw @maxfosh tonight in DC at the Lincoln theatre performing his show βloopholeβ.
Fantastic bit of comedy, and what a fun night.
For anyone with a similar issue, if you created a custom handle through bsky first and then later changed your handle to a custom domain.
You need to log in with your username and password, but not through a custom domain host. Just use the default Bluesky option.
Huge news for me and me alone, I was finally able to log into this app on my phone.
Fortnite? π

@bsky.app Hey there, on October 20th I sent an email to your support@ describing that I am unable to login to bluesky outside of my home PC. Not on my phone or on my laptop, I'd appreciate a response so I can get a resolution. Not having it on my phone means I can rarely interact on here.
Reminiscing on a personal bar I ran last summer at MAGStock. This patch, commissioned from @gargoylegray.bsky.social, came out so well and I still hear about people finding the patches well over a year now.
I even got one of these patches re-gifted to me, funnily enough.
For the longest time I avoided getting my coffee beans on a subscription basis, cause I had always preferred to change up the roaster between each bag. But for about half a year now I have been getting 2 bags a month from Tiny Arms in Mass. and it has been fantastic each time.
Fantastic planning convention for Super MAGFest in the books. Feeling extremely confident in my role with accessibility, and excited to explore MAGPIE and giving back to historically marginalized groups within the community.
My name is Buddah, or Brandon, I'm a huge specialty liquids enjoyer. Beyond that I enjoy reading fiction novels, playing games, or just hopping on a call with friends.
I'll mostly be tweeting about cocktails, coffee, tea, sake, good food, and whatever else is hospitality. I bartend too: buddah.bar

Kings Ransom in old town Alexandria is a neighborhood favorite for me.
The former general manager is an expert at their craft, winning the 2023 Elijah Craig Old Fashioned competition. The staff are friendly, the vibe is giving speakeasy, and overall I greatly enjoy any evenings spent here.
I never got the chance to write down this cocktail, but it was similar to an old fashioned but served neat.
Death & Co DC hosted a pop-up at Hotel Heron (ALX) for a few weeks and I went during their penultimate weekend.
Great vibes, and the drinks were great. I loved their airmail.
Quick break from all the cocktail postings to bring you a deep passion and hobby, specialty coffee.
This particular one was a FANTASTIC espresso tonic with house made lemon syrup, single origin from others coffee out of Washington D.C., and tonic water.
(please denote the very boojee lemon)
This was a fun event I worked earlier in the year, it was a pre-game for a charity fundraiser. I got to be the open bar for folks going to an open bar.
Swanky old fashioneds and refreshing aperol spritz' on the menu that night.
If you ever need a bartender, reach out at buddah.bar.
For my mother's birthday this past April, we went out to Sushi Taro in Washington D.C.
The food was fantastic, but an absolutely highlight of the night was this Dewazakura Daiginjo out of Yamagata Prefecture.
Roughly a $100 bottle, but man am I tempted to still get it.
Feels like a good opportunity to start merging my online alias with my irl bartending.
Someone hold me to posting more drinks and recipes, whether I make them or Iβm out and about.
