Joking, it was this damn migraine that force me to.
Joking, it was this damn migraine that force me to.
Sometimes Iβm just out hugging trees and enjoying life offline.
Top thing I get asked after releasing my iOS app
- when android
These mobile PokΓ©mon games are so crappy but still so successful, just because they are using the theme.
Well I could but it feels different, I liked it there just for the rants πΊ
So many hours on dynasty warriors. No regrets
Hm whatβs up with devrant iOS app? I had an urge to post there today and I couldnβt find it.
Hereβs my cat Luna.
I named my next app Nevato - just because it sounds like Aviato.

Well deserved! I was reading about this

I am glad we are on the right platform π€π€
Iβve heard windsurf ai is better with complex and large code bases. I still have to test it out though.
They also work just fine if you pay for some ads π€¦ββοΈ I understand thatβs their business now, but still very punishing for new accounts.
Iβll check it out!
Instagram has to be, currently, one of the worst social media platforms to grow. They literally never show your stuff.
Post your content on TikTok get thousands of views.
So, I can consider my iOS app pretty much done for now. Iβll let it settle and see how it performs. If the reception is good, I will continue working on it.
Meanwhile I have another project rolling. Too soon to give more details but itβs a saas this time. A simple web app.
I usually just start over and never finish it.
How much I spent on it up to this point:
- iOS developer account 99 β¬
- App domain dabola.app 14 β¬
- Facebook ads 6 β¬
Total spent 119 β¬
And how much I made
- 0,17 β¬ on ads.
In sum I still need to make 118,83 β¬ to get my money back.
As itβs the end of the week, letβs do a financial report. My app is live for 2 days now.
Since the response was so overwhelming positive, Iβll give my own answer. Iβm building a homepage describing the idea and offering it for a discounted price - wait.
If the response is positive, and we actually sell something, then we build it.
How do you guys validate your SaaS ideas?
I also took the chance to test out ad removal. Itβs looking good.
Here we go again. App resubmitted and now we must wait⦠Took less than 24h the first time, that was not too bad.
When I think that Iβm about to finish it, thereβs something else needed. Privacy pages. Terms and conditions.
So yes. The last 20% to get it done take 80% of the time.
Then I decided to add it to the shelf and call it quits.
Couple months later, I opened the app again, and decided to take it to the AppStore.
Building an app is not just about code, I also had to learn about marketing. I needed to learn about EU laws. Regulations.
For dabola.app my iOS app - backend Iβve built it in less than 1 week. The app itself took another week. I polished it for months (it still needs polish) - and it seems that the finish line keeps moving forward.
I started working on and off on it after building the backend and the initial screens
App rejected. Rookie mistake, forgot to ask the user before collecting data. Iβm not collecting any data at all, but Google admob does.
I have other plans for the future too, but right now my focus is on DΓ‘ bola. I just want to get it out there, before moving into the next project.
If you're curious, I work with VueJS on my daily job. DΓ‘ bola is using SwiftUI, and Subsly uses react native with Expo. So let's connect! π¦
I'm also working on https://subsly.app in my free time, but it's not yet as polished as the first one. This one will probably be completely rebuilt from the ground up. I've made too many mistakes with it. It's fully functional, but still not available on the app store.
Currently, I am working on a Portuguese app called DΓ‘ bola? https://dabola.app/ This is the one I am currently putting more effort into, as it is also the closest to being released. It's currently in review, and if the review gods are with me, it should be available in the next couple of days.
Hello everyone! I completely forgot to introduce myselfβshame on me! I'm an indie developer building apps in my spare time while working full-time and living with my two little ones.
I love creating useful, simple, minimalist things, and sharing the journey, yes, I will also include mistakes!
