I wish I could give Zelenskyy a big hug. I know it won’t do anything, but I feel so bad for him and I am ashamed of my country.
They just moved the Iditarod Re-Start to Fairbanks. I am so excited!!
Here is the pre-RFK vaccination schedule for your kids. Please download it before he is confirmed and changes/deletes it.
Give it to your pediatrician and say this is the schedule you want your kids on.
Making this my pinned post.

The most transformative courses I took during my time at Ga Tech were in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. They had nothing to do with my areas of study, and I struggled through the physics to pass. But what I learned there about the climate and how it changes was pored into A Burden of Ice and Bone.
Authors, raise your hand if your books are political 🙋🏻♀️
I'd like to propose turning off candidates microphones and installing yes/no buttons for all confirmation hearings.
I wish I had the writing confidence I possessed when I had no idea what I was doing.
It was 47F in Fairbanks, Alaska yesterday, which broke the record high for the day by 8 degrees. If I'd wanted this kind of weather, I could have stayed in the South.
(But I still prefer Alaska)
Thank you!!
I seem to have hit the Alaska blue sky community, but what about authors in Alaska? Are any of those hanging around?
Today I am in transition chapter hell.
Why are these the hardest to write?
It’s kind of fun being on the other side and watching the Lower 48 freak out like Buddy the Elf about snow.
I was telling my husband about the one toy Santa was never able to bring me when I was a kid (not from lack of trying), and this was supposed to be in my stocking this year (it just arrived. Because AK) 5-year-old me is so excited, but also sad I no longer have any turtles for her to hang with.
Maybe not, but I’ll hope for good things anyway.
Can Netflix movies win Oscars? Because The Six Triple Eight deserves all of them.
In my other favorite, a CEO needs to be threatened with an eternity of wandering the earth in chains while his fellow man laugh about his death in order to become a decent human being.
🤔
In one of my favorite Christmas movies, the CEO falls off a roof and the workers keep chugging along like nothing happens. In fact, when the replacement shows up, no one even seems to notice.
I can think of a few people who could use a haunting by 3 spirits tonight.
Writing books is really easy…
… Compared to getting them marketed, read, and reviewed by actual readers.
Very dark
I’m a little sad that darkness is going to start slipping away at the end of the week.
It’s my birthday!!
And my one birthday wish is that more people would check out my newest book baby and give it a review.
You can find it here ➡️ a.co/d/cAfb9k3
Or here ➡️ www.barnesandnoble.com/w/a-burden-o...
Or from your favorite indie bookstore or library.
Alaska has the best neighbors.
Nooo! That’s the appeal!
I just keep buying more shelves anyway 😅
The cover of A Burden of Ice and Bone on a cell phone with winter greenery around it.
It’s the coziest time of year! Check out my newest book, a fairy tale retelling of East of the Sun, West of the Moon. If you loved Spinning Silver and A Curse So Dark and Lonely, give it a read! Available through all major book retailers, indie stores, and libraries—even Libby!
I can’t be the only one who thinks knickknacks on book shelves are a waste of space that could be used for more books, right?
