NO WAR WITH IRAN!
GBDSA member Iskandar illuminates the interconnection between the struggles of the working class in the US and abroad. When imperialism advances, we all lose. When we realize our struggles are connected and we fight for all of us in the face of capitalist greed, WE WIN πΉ

Photo of feminine-presenting GBDSA member wearing a red GBDSA t-shirt and a black jacket holding a microphone and speaking to a group. Text reads: No War with Iran. The GBDSA logo of a raven with a rose in its mouth is under the text.
This past Tuesday, we rallied in the rain to denounce US/Israel attacks on Iran. These attacks are a clear violation of domestic and international law pushing us towards a regional war that would destabilize West Asia, imperil millions of lives, and trigger a global economic crisis.

Photo of masculine-presenting person wearing a medical mask and pulling a tray of bread loaves out of an oven with the text: Many of our neighbors and Jewish community are in solidarity with Palestine. It feels important to us as a business with a Hebrew name to speak out for our vision of Judaism as well as reflect the values of our customers.
Photo of a bakery counter topped with bread loaves and a blurry image of a feminine-presenting person wearing a medical mask walking behind the camera with the text: We are a neighborhood bakery that sources from local farms to mill fresh, whole grain flour for breads and pastries. We believe in making nutritious and delicious food available to all.
Since we opened in the early pandemic, we've used a pay-what-you-can model. Folks really do want to pay what they're able and it has consistently balanced out.I think it's created a special environment where customers feel empowered and want to share the love back however they can. It's rare to see owners of a small business live in the community they serve (we used to live above the bakery and now live next door). Seeing many of our customers as neighbors in day to day life has been so meaningful.
Photo of Motzi bread storefront with text: Finding other small business that you can align yourselves with can be such a helpful resource. Involving customers, in the form of fundraisers, art projects, events, is a great way to see the impact of your actions. If you encounter struggles due to publicly speaking out, let customers know. You will likely feel a lot of love and encouragement.
Get to know one of our Apartheid Free Baltimore businesses! Motzi Bread, a much-beloved bakery in the Charles Village area, provides delicious baked goods, a sense of community, and solidarity with Palestine.

Chrysoula Taylor and Douglas W Taylor. Primary and secondary facilities managers for the G. H. Fallon Federal Building. 202-285-9047 chrysoula.hicks@gsa.gov 410-209-9545 douglas.taylor@gsa.gov The G. H. Fallon building, located at 31 Hopkins Pl, wasn't built to be a detention center. The VA, a daycare, the IRS, General Services, and more all happen in its large office complex. Chrysoula and Douglas are in charge of keeping things at the Fallon building business as usual. They may think that it's normal to detain dozens of innocent peopl a week but it's not normal.
Dear ICE whistleblower, thank you for listening to your heart; in quiet moments you know what's happening isn't right. Your family sees you as a protector, our families see you as the boogeyman. Our heart is breaking for the humans detained at the Fallon building. For the conditions they endure, dirty and overcrowded. It's not normal. Use your soul and speak out against what's happening, any way you can.
REPOST to show your love and solidarity with people detained by ICE by mobilizing workers inside the building to take a stand!

Robert J Frances. Howard County Department of Inspections, Licenses, and Permits Director. 410-313-2433. bfrances@howardcountymd.gov Bob stopped the construction of a new concentration camp with the stroke of his pen. Construction was almost complete, retrofitting a private office building in Elkridge into a brand new concentration camp as of December 29th, 2025. Bob revoked their building permit early February.
Bob, thank you for saying no. What an incredible act of love for your community. Thank you for using your power to stop the machine that kidnaps our neighbors and spits them out far away. Thank you for saying not in your neighborhood. We don't want to bring hate and death here. Thank you for your courage, because of you we feel relief instead of fear.
Calvin Bell Howard County Executive. 410-313-2013 cball@howardcountymd.gov After Bob revoked their building permit, Calvin brought County and State legislation to block new ICE facilities from being built. He is working hard to make sure they can't just try again to bring a new concentration camp to our backyard.
