Remove AB306 text from the CA Budget Bill!
These rules would prevent cities and even the state from updating building codes for 6 years. Theyβre well intentioned, but the wrong approach. A great article by Florida building official Jeff Remas is the best explainer Iβve seen:
The new Senate bill doesnβt just gut renewables. It includes massive giveaways to the fossil fuel industry.
It exempts oil and gas drillers from paying corporate taxes. It gives coal companies a tax credit for burning more coal.
It uses your tax dollars to subsidize climate destruction.
