Like, it becomes hard to answer "would your character be identified as abnormal in this respect" when the cultural identity of most of the recurring characters they interact with in MSQ-to-date is a pile of autism stereotypes.
I think neurodivergence/typicality is in the context of environment and culture, so it's not a clear-cut thing; But yeah if you extracted Strix into our context, she'd probably be readily identified as autistic.

Solving the problem of making gear not look like ass when Lalas' upper arms clip into their torsos with 'the armscyes open clear down to the hipbone' is very fun and sensible for beings who have a lot of other physiological and cultural adaptations for efficiently shedding waste heat.
I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

So even if there’s an easily palpable difference in how you do attraction or desire, it can be really hard/take a long time to figure out what’s up with that.
There’s a whole *thing* here about how the world in general is/media depictions in specific are pretty likely to treat sex as a proxy for focused, loving attention/quality time/positive regard etc, and even sex-repulsed people enjoy those things, let alone sex-indifferent-to-favorable ones
(From experience, the closest equivalent thing that’s common to ace-umbrella people is “Acting against my best interests/wildly out of character *because lonely.*” It’s surprisingly easy for the latter to mask as the former even.)
