Used to be regular stop for us on a Sunday cycle round the Forth. Stunning, and get better and more impressive the closer you get.
Not a bad trip down so far, but M6 toll.....you're having a laugh!

Exactly this. He's playing a Bruckheimer movie character.
Much easier on two wheels.
Had to drive through the centre of Edinburgh today.
Mostly 20mph, some 30. 3rd or 4th gear. Car didn't complain. Was I much slower than before? Nope.
Way too many cars though.

A brown dog, a vizsla, looking out of a window. A silver estate car is parked outside.
Wee french country mouse finding the suburbs of Edinburgh so interesting.
I went on a course there and Sandra came with me. She hired a bike for 3 days. Nothing fancy, a newish alu straight barred town bike, but she covered everywhere she wanted to visit. Cycling was easy as v flat, and hire was v cheap.
And while she was doing that, I was sitting in meeting rooms all day
But when you get there, plenty of hire bikes.

Just paid Β£98 to fill the car in Edinburgh.
I have the Revue Technique for the Twingo (service and maintenance)
Yup. Always Supercinq in France.
Back in Scotland.
Thoughts:
1.VW knew what they were doing with the Passat. Quiet, no stress. Even on 19" wheels is comfy. Less than one tank Lower Normandy to Edinburgh. 61mpg (brimmed)
2. Jeez, just how dear is motorway food
3. Modern cars are all identical. When did everything become blobby?

Could have stopped typing after 'worse'.

10 March 1924 | A German Jewish woman, Stefania Anschel, was born in Berlin.
She arrived at #Auschwitz on 4 February 1943 in a transport of 952 Jews deported from Berlin. She did not survive.
That would drive me daft, and it's pretty easy to train dogs out of it.
About 450 miles of our drive back to Scotland done.
Car showing an average of 60.2 mpg with 1/2 tank left.
Big contrast as usual between driving in France and UK.
π«π· Great, smooth roads, super lane discipline, no hold ups.
π¬π§ Crappy roads, too many cars, lousy lane discipline (middlle lane hogs)
Me too. I namΓ¨d my lawnmower Huey in tribute.π
Sideways features a 900 turbo cab too.
