A new feature, the Bounty Pass, is now available in the Scanner! You can get a Pass for CMU which gives you access to 4 additional Daily Bounties for a number of days. The feature is currently time limited till the end of Operation Polaris.

Niantic Spatial has released an Incident Report for the network failure last week during which players were not able to log into the Ingress app for several hours. This report, while written in an "in-universe" style, does seem to be an honest post mortem about the blackout!

A workaround until this is fixed is to use the "Enter" button on your phones keyboard instead of the OK button that most people normally press. If you have issues with this workaround, try installing a different Keyboard from Google Play such as SwiftKey.
With the Ingress 3.1.2 update that was released in the middle of December Agents on Android have reported that the Portal Nomination flow is broken. Specifically, once you have entered the Portal Title and press OK, the title automatically clears up and doesn't save.

C.A.R.G.O. adds +100 inventory spaces for 30 days for 3500 CMU. It does not auto renew.
You can view active C.A.R.G.O. boosts in the Settings menu so you know what date C.A.R.G.O. will expire.

Operation Polaris Badges
Niantic announced a new Campaign that will run from December 16th to February 5th, 2026: Operation Polaris!
The Campaigns will be based around completing Daily Bounties, and will award a tiered medal, its tier increasing after each of the three Assignments.

3.0 will not introduce any major changes, the jump to v3 is more symbolic to mark the new start of Ingress under Niantic Spatial! The device requirements should therefore stay the same as they are now.
