f/c//t3hdch/rs/rl/ss 60 x 60cm Oil on canvas. The image is at first look a tangle of brushmarks on a winter green ground of colour. Brush marks of zinc white, acid pink, cadinium yellow, and mars black. With looking eventually forms and features emerge. A section of a face in the bottom left. A foreshortened prone figure. A standing figure and an eye. Some of the marks maybe encoded some are definitely asemic. Some refinement in areas is needed, and I'd like the work to be dry enough to apply washes and glazes. But I'm more than happy with it as is.

I digitally mirrored a photo of a fern for this image with two green eyes looking at us, and loved the pareidolia - seeing these eyes and blurred green creatures in the background. As if nature was a sentient being.

I am trying to finish my 2025 faces, this is where I’m at so far. Day 158 of 365. It says Jan - March (Days 1-90) at the top because it’s the text display thing from my pool exhibition last August. But now I’m at June.
