Wow. While we wait for the few remaining ballots to be counted, we feel like we have won this race. The recent drop put us nearly 1,400 votes ahead, just under the .5 percent threshold for a mandatory recount.

A bright yellow Katie Wilson campaign graphic that reads: it's a nail biter folks! today King county elections dropped 36,566 newly counted ballots. we won about 52% of today's drop! King county is counting ballots much more slowly than normal this year, so we didn't quite see the bump we were hoping for today. but it's still good news. there are still about 100,000 ballots to be counted. Make sure yours is counted at the link in bio. we're going to need every single one. this is your city!
Check the status of your ballot and sign up to help cure ballots at the link in our bio! #thisisyourcity

King County elections confirmed to me that so far theyβve only counted ballots up to those submitted Monday or early on Election Day, and none from drop boxes. Wednesday reflects basically a wrap up of what they started counting Tuesday.
