I really appreciate being able to access Blacksky through the appview. I would only add that the most important thing to me is that Blacksky can survive independently of Bluesky if anything were to happen. User count can change overnight and I would not want to lose this community

i legitimately don't care about the "harriet tubman" migration drama, but i want to make sure anyone who would like to migrate to blacksky and is having issues gets assistance

I miss the days when single player games would have a little multiplayer mode attached so you could play with friends without a big commitment. With multiplayer games nowadays you can't just buy based on whether you like it. You have to think about if your friends will like it too. #videogames

I need people to understand that "AI" used in moderation isn't necessarily the "AI" of ChatGPT + friends or synthetic text extruding machines, or LLMs. There's stuff lumped under "AI", as the term is a marketing term, that is actually useful and important for flagging stuff on social media.

This platform offers the most control over whose posts you see and the least control over who sees your posts. I think that has a lot to do with it

Speaking *incredibly* personally here because art is communication and artists thrive on having people interact with their work.

BUT its very important, if not moreso, to create for yourself first, imo. You have to feed your own soul because once you release your art, its no longer yours.

This is probably the best discussion I have heard describing what it takes to have AI that's actually useful. Having a specialized tool that does one thing really well is almost always better & more efficient than trying to make something that does everything
