Older than the Words. The Poulnabrone Dolmen stands in the heart of the Burren, a landscape as stark as it is storied. Spanning miles of exposed limestone, the Burren is a karst region, shaped over millennia by water and time. The stone underfoot is cracked and patterned like ancient skin, riddled with grykes and clints where wildflowers and myths take root.
