In the upper right of the image a black-capped chickadee holds onto a small branch that is angling sharply up to the right. The bird's beak is very slightly open. Numerous other branches from a bush fill the bottom of the scene, while in the upper left some nice bokeh from distant beech leaves can be seen.

The north coast of Spain is full of dramatic headlands, hidden coves, and rugged sea stacks, but Gaztelugatxe is one of the most iconic locations. While the chapel perched on the island is usually the star of the show, my attention was drawn east, towards the stacks just off the headland.
Vietnam offers a real mix of photography opportunities, from portraiture to people within their natural environment, seascapes and landscapes. However, more than anywhere else I've shot. Vietnam is about the people. Even the landscapes seem to work better with a human element included.
Another image from the northern coast of Spain and another incredible seascape location. Shot last March on our recce tour, this rugged stretch of the Asturias coastline is full of stunning spots, but Peña Flecha was one of my favourites.
Gueirua Bay at dawn, where this winding stairway leads down to one of the most incredible stretches of shoreline I have seen. You have to work for it, but every step, and there are a lot of them, is worth it for when those views open up to you.

The stunning peaks of Cuernos del Paine in Chilean Patagonia's amazing Torres Del Paine National Park. This was shot from some distance when the intended wider view of this scene failed due to the mirror-like reflections I was hoping for being scuppered by Patagonia's legendary winds.
