So excited for this project, and very happy to once again be working with a great team!
Glad to hear it, and do feel free to reach out. I happen to be a native of Sweden from Stockholm (suburbs). And if you do get this going, please share where some of the key differences are, that may push us to consider that international volume.
The book is definitely focused on US universities though. We have chatted about a possible international volume but that would be in the ~*future*~
Ah, and @joednoonan.bsky.social , I see youβre in Sthlm, Iβm happy to chat in English or svenska π Iβll be in Stockholm in May in factβ¦
Thank you for sharing! This would be great for a discussion group. There are 69 chapters, so we cover quite a bit of ground and the chapters are short and easy to digest, and you should encourage your department to buy some copies (but also free online). Iβm happy to chat more!
So proud of my students who presented their PoliSci 101 issue analyses at the 7th (!) annual Public Service Colloquium!
Congrats everyone and enjoy break π
A colleague of mine died this evening after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle. He was a month from retirement. Be careful out there folks, and hug your loved ones. ππΊ

LOL this isnβt just a stupid theory of college students but itβs a stupid theory of people. NO ONE thinks what other people tell them to. Thatβs not how humans work.
I'm the other way...I have a calendar reminder set to update my CV every. single. month. Totally over the top, and probably makes it look like I'm trying to leave or do something constantly, but I just like to write down what I've accomplished for myself.
On Monday, I worked outside, in short sleeves. Today, we got several inches of snow. Thatβs normal right?

A bar chat that shows how many adults and children have been killed each day in Gaza, according to the Gazan Health Ministry. Data is through Oct. 25, 2023
At least 1,500 children under the age of 10, including 600 under the age of four, have been killed in Gaza since Oct. 7, according to a list released on Thursday by the health ministry there. More than 100 were listed as less than a year old. nyti.ms/45KtzKJ
Anyone have suggestions for best PRACTICAL books for teaching interviews & focus groups?
TIA
Just like me to pick the last warm day to work outside just to say βI should do this more often!β

Thank you so much for highlighting our work!!
So, just to recap ...
After taking fifteen votes to become Speaker of the House, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was forced out of that position by the hard-right fringe of his own caucus.

Agreed!
We made it!
They loved it, and we had a great conversation.
I posted it just before class was starting, and one student said they weren't sure about coming to class today (mid-semester dread + down pour rain), but that the meme made them change their mind....
Covering vote choice/who wins elections in Politics of Inequality in class today- gonna ask them to explain the meme!
Sure, that makes sense, and I can relate (just not country or folk, that's where I draw my line).
I never imagined taking my five-year-old to a concert, but it was really great. Her favorite band, outdoors, 7pm on a Sat, not far from home, headphones, and light enough to sit on my shoulders.
π I am a big fan for sure! That said, I actually listen to a wide variety of music, including rap and late 90's pop (bc nostalgia). Rock and metal are definitely my go-to though. I've never seen SoD in concert though- very cool! Most recent was Halestorm, with Linnea
I'm very excited to have learned this information about you :)
