A song on the radio reminded me of a cousin who I only know from early childhood and not with the best memories. The recent news of their death saddened me anyway. Not sure if it's grief for other ones lost, or for a past that's now gone forever. RIP

Spring has sprung and we've got lots of garden work to do. SO is pruning trees, I'm collecting sticks & sorting them for wood chipping. I emptied the compost bin, replanted tomato seedlings, and want to plant peas 🫛

And, I spotted a bright yellow, busy bee with pollen on both legs 🐝

In local tradition, a trinket with red/white thread is given to loved ones at the start of March, which they then wear until the first blossoms appear :)

Here's a wintry alteration for #SewAndTell. I turned this long knitted woollen cardigan from an XL into an S size, re-created the side slits & shortened the sleeves.

There's always that moment of hesitation before using scissors 😅
