Matyáš Kalužný 🇨🇿 made Top 8 with Izzet Spellementals, aiming to play discounted Sunderflock.

Why did he choose it? "I expected a lot of Prowess, and I also like the patterns of the deck."

Valentin Orru 🇫🇷 picked up Standard 5 months ago and made Top 8 at his first RC with Boros Dragons!

"I picked a deck that would be easy enough to pilot for a first competitive experience. I also really like playing white."

George Berrett 🇬🇧 made his first premier event Top 8 at the RC in Turin!

Why Izzet Elementals? "Solid matchup spread: good against Lessons and Cub, ok against Prowess, good against Spellementals."

Alejandro Mora Romero was already qualified for Pro Tour Secrets of Strixhaven but still reached an RC Top 8!

Playing Izzet Lessons, his best card of the weekend was Gran-Gran.

Jaime Gonzalo Benito 🇪🇸 also made the Top 8 at the RC in Turin, playing Bant Rhythm.

Pro Tour champion Samuele Estratti 🇮🇹, after taking Esper Pixie to a 20th place finish at Magic Spotlight: The Avatar in Lyon earlier this year, now clinched an RC Top 8.

Why Esper Pixie? "It's my pet deck ❤️"

Victor Martinez Medina 🇪🇸 reached the RC Top 8 with the breakout deck of the tournament: Mono White.

"Momo is the best card in the deck. It lets you do amazing plays."

In a field of over 1,000 competitors, Andrea Fortunati 🇮🇹 finished in first place after the Swiss!

Badgermole Cub was his best card of the weekend "because the deck is based on that".

Rakdos Monument is a deck that's gained a ton from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - picking up Cool But Rude as well as Shredder's Technique. As Ian Akers explained as he competed for Day 2 at #SpotlightTMNT, the latter is removal that also picks up Bloodghast to discard!
