So, in the last week, I've encountered 6 copies of PC Genjin 2 for PC Engine that all worked within the last year that are now all dead. It seems like this game specifically is failing in huge numbers. If you own a PC Genjin 2 Hucard, could you test for me? I'm trying to find still working copies!

We cannot stress enough how much @jananimations.bsky.social is cooking with this upcoming animated short.....
It's perverting game development. People who go into this sort of thing will have short term "wins" and then not understand or be able to support what it is they have wrought because there is no learning process.
(Ethics, environmental and morals aside.)
What was their old way? Fucking semaphore?
@pointerfunction.bsky.social do you have an unknown brother?
Clabretro did a video recently on the Sun JavaStation "Krups" attempting to do similar. Eventually he got NetBSD to boot on it and called that a win.

They (Interact) had this retooled for the PC market as the PC Powerpad Pro.
Damn good pad in Need For Speed III - Hot Pursuit
I say this as a Megadeth fan.
Doesn't have the word "twat" tattooed across his forehead, so unlikely to be Mustaine.
Yeah - I could do several lists of 9 depending on the day of the week

Sounds like something a GoBot would do though.
Real consoles use caddies and can only read the last 20% of the data.
I did not :(
I like to think that time we were fucking around taking photos of random things shoved into the Saturn's expansion port has contributed to this inaccuracy.
There was an attempt. Screenshot of a generated image of a Dreamcast with glaring mistakes regarding how the optical drive is implemented within the shell housing. Taken from AliExpress.
Can't quite fathom why, but something tells me that so-called "AI" may have been used in the doctoring of this image of a SEGA Dreamcast.
Certainly an interesting choice of optical drive assembly.
Only issue might be that it may require resin due to the size and it being under some degree of stress.
It's one of those things I would get @pointerfunction.bsky.social to sort if more than two people admitted to owning a Jaguar CD.
Yeah - that is the one. Looks to be turning but not dark / brittle *yet*.
For elaboration, this nonsense.
The CD lid latch will be in one of two states:
1. Broken.
2. Not broken *yet*.
It's made of the type of plastic that yellows and becomes brittle. Consider treating if it shows signs of this.
It's terminology I spend more time trying to comprehend than responding to with "ok".
