It’s a wonderful event and a chance to see Split Rock’s beacon lit! The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1969 and is only lit for this event. I’ve wanted to go for years and grabbed the chance since it was on a Sunday this year.
Yesterday my wife and I made the drive up to the North Shore for the Edmund Fitzgerald Memorial Beacon Lighting at Split Rock Lighthouse, which commemorates the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald and the loss of all hands in 1975 #edmundfitzgerald #lakesuperior #northshore #minnesota #lighthouse

Yeah—there’s something you see in corporate settings a lot called “assuming positive intent.” You don’t know where other people are coming from, what kind of day they’ve had, what they’re thinking about, the tone they meant to use (if over text), etc.
I also spend my days gazing longingly into the distance, the wind whipping my clothes about me, hoping for my short story submission to appear over the horizon.
