If you're not obsessed with (reading) books, why would you even want to be an author? I have to feed my hungry brain with multiple books at a time, usually at least one fic and one nonfic. How brain make words without?
Darn! The to do list can easily slide from motivating to discouraging. When this happens to me, I sometimes add the things that sabotage my plans and check them off, like: "cleaned up mess from broken washer and shopped for new appliances ✅"

I was wholly unprepared for how whiny and insatiably hungry this girl is in heat. If she jumps the fence, she will 100% come back with Ben and Jerry’s.
Also, the version of me that does the swimming is 17 years old and 115 pounds. Updating the sensory and muscle memory to the current stats is ... not going smoothly.
Update! I have ordered a pair of "petite femme" goggles from Amazon that had a video review from a woman with an extremely similar bone structure to mine. 🤞 I have been near tears over this whole thing. I didn't mention that I struggled with the silicone cap, too. It pops off!
Back in high school, I had a specific type of goggle that was the only one that really worked--the Sprint. It had an adjustable nose piece I wore at two clicks on one side and one on the other. And even those I had to wear super tight.
Feeling discouraged because I finally attempted swimming today and the $45 goggles that I carefully tried on in the store do not work on the water. I'm discouraged as I have a very difficult-to-fit face and I don't know how to shop for these without taking each one in the pool. Seems impractical.

Sorry for the confusion. I see now it's apparently the reported income of an individual journalist. But it sounds like that person writes books and has been very successful at it. Except for maybe TV celebrity journalist, there's no $500k salaries to be had.
