Local Massachusetts weekly says it's confirmed that the Pentagon was relying on Claude for strike targeting, which is how they came to bomb a girls' school.

What are *you* doing to stop the genocide? To build a better future for all of us? I'm a PhD student, in geography, at uToronto. I think about just futures in the context of climate change. More active on Mastodon: @majdal@social.coop #FreePalestine

1/ The images coming out of Iran are already unbearable. Reports of an elementary school struck by missiles, killing dozens of people, with scores more killed around the country. Fear and chaos in the streets as families run through smoke and search for safety.
New from @splawinski.bsky.social at Can We Still Govern: To stymie ICE, look at the sources of its power.
That includes money but also co-operative 287(g) agreements with state and local govts.
Blocking and reversing those agreements weakens ICE capacity. 🧵

My latest for Canadian Dimension -- rejecting Bianca Muguenyi's candidacy shows that the party isn't about to fix it's deep democratic problems, and only one candidate has anything about changing the vetting process in their platform.

I have always said it, I will continue to say it, we are limiting the productive potential of millions of freaks by demanding they earn a wage to survive instead of enabling them to do whatever thing their brain is broken for
An add for a law firm reads,”Whether you’re in the theater or being questioned by police, MJM Law Office reminds you to stay quiet.”
I’ll never get tired of this ad at our local indie theater 😂
I got about 100 new followers in the past day... Where did of you arrive from?
Welcome, everyone 👋
FYI, I'm more active over in the #Fediverse. I'm a part of a cooperatively run instance. It's the version of the Internet that I feel most comfortable in.

New Yorkers built a movement around the belief that every family should be able to afford a dignified life. Today, as Governor Kathy Hochul and I mark our commitment to universal childcare, we're proving that a movement of the people can transform how government serves the people.
I wish I could post polls on Bluesky, the way I can do on #Mastodon...

I love the smell of consequences in the morning. Thank you, @dragoncon.org
I considered writing a long carefully constructed argument laying out the harms and limitations of AI, but instead I wrote about being a hater. Only humans can be haters.
1/n Dear friends, in light of the current events in Palestine and to help spread awareness, a large number of filmmakers have made their FILMS about PALESTINE AVAILABLE FOR ONLINE FOR FREE
Below, we are sharing links to films that you can watch and share to spread our message to the world:
"We are witnessing a horrific return to a eugenicist 'commonsense' even though history shows us that the way test scores register intelligence is far from objective science." Pepper Stetler explores the troubling history of IQ tests and special education. lareviewofbooks.org/article/trum...
A poster describing a recent divestment campaign. Beige background and black font. Breaking News: Divestment victory! Yesterday, with a record turnout for the vote. Uoft faculty and librarians passed an historic divestment motion. The membership of the university of Toronto Faculty Association (UTFA) Called on the university pension plan (UPP) to divest from the manufacture of weapons used to commit or facilitate war crimes in the occupied Palestinian Territory, Sudan and all other contexts or crimes against humanity, illegal occupation and other serious violations or international law.
There is something about seeing the word Sudan circulating by non-Sudanese in the context of a campaign like this that is idk…I’m so grateful to my Black colleagues for this!
Our friends at 18 Million Rising do incredible work, and they were punished by one of their funders for the simple act of speaking out against genocide and defending Palestinian rights.
We need to talk about this. Authoritarians and bigots are using funding as a chokepoint to censor and suppress.
Done
@nolore.bsky.social can I DM you about today’s episode please?
Listen to this interview with Maya Wind, author of "Towers of Ivory and Steel," discuss the complicity of Israeli universities in Israel's genocide of Palestinians. Maya herself is Israeli.

Infographic showing number of flights from Beirut and Damascus to cities across the world, grouped west (Europe and North America), east (Asia), and south (Africa).
Beautiful #infographic of aerial traffic out of #Beirut and #Damascus, from the 1968 master plan of Damascus, by Michel Écochard.
There are many beautiful things to note, One of my favourite is that the map spreads eastwards as well as westwards. Riyadh is there, but has fewer flights than Karachi.

#فلسطين بحاجة لتصوّر جديد لشو معنى التحرير، ومن شو عم نتحرّر بالأصل. لأن الإحتلال والاستعمار مش هن الوحيدين يلّي عم بيقهرونا ويذلّونا.
