Last month, I launched my lab at Ohio State. Our lab website is now live, and we're recruiting graduate students this cycle! If you're interested in the cognitive (neuro)science of learning & memory, please reach out!

I'm recruiting a lab manager for my soon-to-be-launched lab at Ohio State! If you know of any recent grads who may be interested both in helping to build the lab and in developing skills in the cognitive neuroscience of memory, please share!

Incredibly excited and grateful to share that Iβll be starting a lab at The Ohio State University this(!) fall! My lab will study human learning and memory, with related interests in sleep, stress, and time perception. More info soon, but do get in touch if youβre interested in joining!
So excited that this is out! We found that integration of new and old information is supported by interleaved reactivation during sleep. It was amazing to work with @brynnsherman.bsky.social, @lizsiefert.bsky.social, and @annaschapiro.bsky.social on this paper (my first one!)
New preprint! Statistical structure skews object memory toward predictable successors. Model simulations show how this bias can arise from the backward expansion of hippocampal representations.

I am SO thrilled and grateful that I get to do research with this awesome group of people!! π₯³π₯³π₯³ Can't wait to be back in Hanover this fall officially as a PhD student in the Context Lab π²ππ²
Come find us at CNS!!
Sunday 10am Symposium: Cognitive Functions of Replay
Sunday 5pm posters: C136 @paigesev.bsky.social, C156 @marlietandoc.bsky.social, C162 @sarahsolomon.bsky.social
Check out our latest, led by @marlietandoc.bsky.social!! We find that memory for individual features of objects is rapidly distorted by the objects' category structure. Plus simulations that provide an account of how the hippocampus may contribute to this effect.
Very excited that this paper led by @cybellesmith.bsky.social is now out in JoCN!! We show how humans and recurrent neural nets can learn statistics unfolding at multiple timescales rapidly and concurrently.
