Phew! Maybe they are delaying this year. I'd always forget to reply with Christmas around and rely on the reminder, I'm sure I wasn't the only oneπ!
Any EDEXCEL markers? Normally I get a contract offer over Christmas for the Summer (have marked a number of years now and TL) but haven't had one.
Has anyone had theirs?
Earlier this month, we were proud to host ResearchED Cornwall - a day which brought together teachers, leaders, researchers and education thought-leaders from across the UK. Watch our video from the event now: youtu.be/yrJJ6Lu2n4o

Half term baby! A tough term, but finished on a high with INSET @celtacademies.bsky.social having such rich mathematics conversations about adjustment, adaptation and Deliberate Rehearsal!
10 out 10 baby - what a way to start my 2 week half term π
Designing some resources for our Trust wide curriculum and we have a "Deeper Thinking" section.
Looking something for students to get their teeth into around converting FD and P? Anyone??? #mathstoday
Your resources are fab, and very much appreciate the ability to edit and adapt too. Good luck with the new year!
Making the most of the final week with family. These beauts today!

Just delivered my first maths workshop at #MathsConf38 and Iβm buzzing! Being 10% braver is HARD but so worth it.πͺ
Thank you to everyone who came along. Keep an eye out for resources and join the challenge! @nathanday.bsky.social has set the bar high! π₯ #InterweavingMaths

Go @ljohns6.bsky.social being 10% braver and running a workshop with one of her favourites attending!
I love working this way! So much can be applied. But yep definitely speed getting its own row is key to unlocking the questions. I find keeping the units, and maybe some choral response of "Speed is a measure per ..one!" Lots of MWBs with writing speeds into ratios to support?
Very excited for Friday's INSET @celtacademies.bsky.social Another chance to get together with all my colleagues and discuss the exciting times ahead for Maths@CELT
Ooh that looks amazing! Where do I go to spend frivolously π!

If you have 5 mins and can help me with this YouTube nonsense instructions at the end of this video. It won't take long but will flag the videos to them. Appreciate retweets. If this gets resolved I can get back to making papers!

Desperate parent alert! Our 4yo left his beloved teddy Moley (Florence the Mole from Any Creatures Wildlife) at Premier Inn Doncaster Lakeside on May 31. Likely scooped up with laundry π§Ίπ Discontinued + irreplaceable. Please RT + help us bring him home! π#bringmoleyhome

Why would anyone do that? I also sing your praises about how amazing you are and have the BEST quality papers. Thank you for all you do. You're the reason I switched to BlueSky and that I'm happy for alone!
We moved to EDEXCEL after AQA. Papers were more accessible for majority of students and gets the highest students to really think at the back end. The resourcing is excellent, but agree Exam Wizard is rubbish. But there is so much in Maths Emporium I find I don't need it hugely.
Rugby mum means travelling to Devon for the morning, but a sneaky trip to Tulip Fest on return, well worth it! #rugby #strawberryfields #tulipfest
Looking for ADHD literature to read, as a parent. Specifically for strategies to support. I've done lots of reading on the what, I want more practical support! #adhd #neurodivergent
Ooh I like that!
It was only when I was doing some polygon work I found the Myriagon one but then the word myriad has now become just "lots of" but it origins is 10,000.
Ooh a couple extras to add in (and I know you like a bit of history!)
Decimate - the Romans used as a cowardice punishment to kill one in ten.
Myriad - classical history for units of 10,000 - Myriagon - 10,000 sided polygon!
I'm about to plan some work for LPA students on indices tonight, this looks like food for thought!
