An interview with the lovely and talented Jan Ostle and Mary Wilson of Michelin-starred restaurant Wilson's in Bristol. They were fun and interesting to speak to and the food is just stunning. open.substack.com/pub/andrewly...
I haven't started it yet. I've enjoyed the show so far, but it is incredibly uneven and feels like it's made up as it goes along to a certain extent. I don't think it really knows what its true subject matter is.

I'm pimping an old newsletter about The Bear because of Season 4 being out. Read it, don't read it. Algorithm, bury this post for some f#*king reason. Whatever. andrewlynes.substack.com/p/smashed-ho...
I'm not convinced about the new Pet Shop Boys look.
I wrote about William Sitwell's Reform UK membership and how it should affect how his restaurant reviews are viewed. Link in the reply.
Can anyone recommend an article or book about Reform Party/Nigel Farage's possible links with NF, BNP, EDL et al? I know about Raymond Saint but I'm assuming there's got to be many more like him. Thanks. This is for a thing I'm writing following on from William Sitwell's column about joining Reform.
Can hardly believe this
Happy Easter everyone.
Thanks Xanthe, yes I'm here!
I've actually found the whole thing online but it doesn't have what I needed in it! Thanks for replying.
Random request - does anyone have a copy of Incest and Morris Dancing by Jonathan Meades to hand?
What would really improve Bluesky is being able to choose to get alerts when people I follow post as on X. Anyone know if there's any way to do that yet, anything like the equivalent of TweetDeck? Thanks.
My first newsletter of 2025 is an attempt to find a defining theme for the UK restaurant scene in 2024 and to look forward to what 2025 has in store. Thereβs jokes, music and loads of ideas of where to book. Please give it a read & like & restack if you enjoy it.

This platform is ok but I would be happier if I was seeing more modular synthesis, more old song recommendations (disco, jazz, funk, house), more MENA music, more weird fiction, more modernism, more sci fi.
Recommend ppl for me to follow & for each new one Iβll recommend a book/LP/film in return.
