Today we remember a brilliant life.
Do you remember his first wife? During Einstein's marriage to Mileva MariΔ, he wrote 4 papers, including one on special relativity, altering understanding of physics.
The question remains: How was Mileva involved?

Love the color. Happy vibes that remind me of pulling into almost any dock in the Caribbean. Nice!

Taken when I worked in Hermosillo at INAH's Regional Museum.
An old prison building, from 1908, with a dark history. The labs had rusty iron doors that creaked loudly.
The night watchman would call, "Hay fantasmas?!βΒ
Maybe... you can still see shadows cast by the prison rails.

Thatβs the end of the day. Two reasons they were hung out in the open air. One reason you csn probably guess. The other is the coyote that would come in camp and sniff around our shoes.
Thank you for reposting, @greentim2.bsky.social !
Women were the earliest to work with plants, from gathering to domestication, they were likely the first farmers. So marrying H-G men made a lot of sense.

I would say I wrote this book to explore my own personal losses and, as an anthropologist, I wanted to better understand how loss affects us as human beings. Thank you for asking, Gideon.
Happy to update this initial post: The book is done and published. "Grief in the Human Experience: How Loss Shapes Us" is available on Amazon and Lulu. Coming soon to Barnes & Noble and other booksellers.

Gratitude for simple things that center me in the moments of my life. Fresh air in the morning, working with friends, relief in a hot spring, and a good nightβs sleep.
Best of all - the memories I get to keep.

It was amazing in the cool and the quiet mountain air.
That summer working in Mimbres, there was a heat wave. So getting into the mountains after 8 weeks in the heat and dust was heaven. We were just SE of a little mountain town called Alpine.
The White Mountains have meadows that'll steal your heart. My favorite spot is up in Hannagan Meadow.

Having finished summer field work in Mimbres, New Mexico, we traveled into the White Mountains of Arizona, where we liked to go every summer. Here, a cool and quiet hike along Fish Creek Trail.

Interesting read. Perhaps mate choice and viability drove the sex-bias. Results also show that male offspring (Neanderthal father/AMH mother) were less fertile or viable, while females were more likely to survive and reproduce.

That must have been quite a trip. Though I think he may have needed an off road gazetteer...
Something about those early mornings. I guess it's the anticipation of what the day will bring. Have a good one.

Heart-centered breathing is a tool to #reset our adaptive response to stress - as a shift to support optimal #wellness.
Take a few moments for a heart-centered reset:
Breathe in love and become still in your heart.
Breathe out and radiate that love into your body.
