In order to understand UK politics in 2026 you must realise that a plumber & plasterer doesn't represent the interests of the working class because she is left-wing but a wealthy broadcaster & former academic does represent the interests of the working class because he is right-wing. Unbelievably positive framing of the attacks on Iran by #BBCLauraK to close the show. Kudos to @zackpolanski.bsky.social for having a go at challenging the idea that bombing a country and assassinating their leader while you're in the middle of negotiating with them isn't a smooth path to democracy.
It must suck to spend your life getting wealthy and famous, only to realize too late that the true secret to happiness is studying old Greek philosophers and eating huge pots of cheese.
