I know I shouldn't, but part of me can't help but admire his sheer chutzpah in pulling this off so successfully, for a while at least.
I look forward to the Hallmark movie of it

Overlooked tales of Edinburgh, Leith & Scottish local history. Expect the unexpected: people, buildings, transport, maps & occasional attempts to be funny. Stories also published at https://threadinburgh.scot π¦ ex-Cocteautriplets

There used to be a great wee team on Twitter who could ID the specific unit based on uniform, badges, patches etc. and sometimes even pin down a name from wound stripes. I've never reconnected with them here

I wonder if this is the tower shown on the 1804 map as an Observatory. This seems to refer to the house of St. Bernard's, later Henry Raeburn's gaff
Wasn't Dodo with a Yoyo a lesser known Smiths b-side?
Banana bread, naturally
A strangely shaped cake

Rain overnight in central Edinburgh & snow on the Pentlands. Polwarth Parish Church & the spire of St Martinβs Episcopal in the middle distance.
Getting strong former manse vibes from that!
