Farage U-turns again on Iran war as Reform’s policy descends into β€˜chaos’

No principles, no morality, no information, no expertise, just endlessly appeasing Trump, Putin, Netanyahu and assorted billionaires and foreign oligarchs or chasing the next headline, until suddenly colliding with reality. Bang, oof.

I really object to the demeaning grotesque framing of elderly advanced dementia care. I personally gave my late mother nothing but love, care and attention; and so too did our team of hardworking women all originally from abroad. It was hard work but also the best of times.

Peter Mandelson, the Russian superyacht and the scandal we completely misread When Britain's most powerful political fixer was caught on an oligarch's boat in Corfu, we called it Yachtgate and moved on. The Epstein files now reveal the full picture: a web of Russian money, paed...

We are just begin to get an inkling of how deeply embedded Peter Mandelson and Tony Blair were/are with the sinister rich. Every time you think you've seen the worst of it, something else emerges.

Families welcome appointment of Donna Ockenden to Leeds maternity inquiry Campaigners say Wes Streeting’s decision to name senior midwife as chair will begin to restore trust Families who lost babies at two hospitals in Leeds have said they are slowly regaining trust in the health secretary after the midwife Donna Ockenden was appointed to lead a review into the failing service, where 56 babies and two mothers died in five years. Ockenden, who conducted a similar review into maternity services at Shrewsbury and Telford hospital NHS trust in 2020, was chosen to lead the investigation into Leeds teaching hospitals NHS trust after a campaign by the families. The latest data from the ONS does not support the idea that morbidity is being compressed in the UK. Instead, it suggests the opposite trend: an expansion of morbidity, meaning people are spending more years of their lives in ill health rather than fewer.
Prove me wrong.

If you look carefully, you'll find my name as an acknowledgment in Prof John Hodges' seminal book on cognitive assessment for clinicians.

Like many others, I did my Ph.D. in cognitive assessment of dementia with John at Cambridge; and he was/is an outstanding supervisor.

Black people up to 48 times more likely to be stopped and searched in richest areas of London Research found extreme disproportion in use of police power in districts such as Richmond-upon-Thames Black people are up to 48 times more likely than white people to be stopped and searched by police in some of London’s best-off areas, a new report has found. The study found that the reasons given by officers for subjecting black people to the controversial power were more likely to be vague, with examples including that a black person gave a β€œfurtive glance”. For me there’s nobody more important than me than my mother. She drives everything that I do including two new books this year on the vital importance of home care. As you know my mum was diagnosed with dementia and died in 2022. This experience taught me everything. #IWD2026

Listening to Tracey Emin talking about how she felt after surviving cancer β€” which inspired her book and Tate Modern exhibitionβ€œSecond life” β€” is exactly how I feel about my own recovery from meningitis and coma in 2007. A wonderful lady in very many ways.

Now that we've got our freedom back, can we give it to Donald Trump? It's what Nigel Farage would have wanted.

I'm planning my book on neighbourhood health. It is perhaps not that surprising that, in relation to frailty and dementia, I wish to discuss deconditioning and delirium prevention. This book will heavily promote care, especially unpaid carers and home care.
