Emma Barnett's interview with Nick Symmonds-Thomas about the Starmer-Mandelson political issue was perhaps her best interview to date. Persistent questioning in pursuit of an answer which did not come
The reputation of politics drops as good journalism rises
#Accountability
#Honesty, not #Deflection
I feel quite sorry for Nick Thomas-Symonds doing the morning rounds defending the indefensible.

Spain MEP Irene Montero: βSend your son, Donald Trump β If you want war, send your own people to the front line. We in Spain want our children, our daughters, & our loved ones at home, safe. We donβt want war β those who want war should send their own childrenβ

Iβm no economist but the interest rates for repayment of university loans are clearly unconscionable, unfair and unjust. This error must be remedied urgently.
Itβs important to recognise neighbourhood health clusters as sites of governance, locations of spatial inequality as well as small areas of population-based prevention. They really are not simply a coordination of professionals. Must include unpaid carers.
βDischarge from the hospitalβ could equally be framed as βadmission to the neighbourhoodβ.
Note to Donald Trump: (while you look at the cost of diesel). "It's the economy stupid."
It's important to look at the failures of N.H.S. Continuing Healthcare in projecting what neighbourhood health services could provide for individuals with frailty and dementia. This is an excellent report from the Nuffield Trust: www.nuffieldtrust.org.uk/sites/defaul...

Video footage published by Bellingcat appears to show a Tomahawk missile striking a compound adjacent to the school.
No principles, no morality, no information, no expertise, just endlessly appeasing Trump, Putin, Netanyahu and assorted billionaires and foreign oligarchs or chasing the next headline, until suddenly colliding with reality. Bang, oof.

I really object to the demeaning grotesque framing of elderly advanced dementia care. I personally gave my late mother nothing but love, care and attention; and so too did our team of hardworking women all originally from abroad. It was hard work but also the best of times.
Time flies when youβre riding trains with a brother Cardiacs fan ππ pleasure meeting you Dave and if anyone can help put us in touch (we ran out of time to exchange deets talking too much about music!!) weβd appreciate it x
We are just begin to get an inkling of how deeply embedded Peter Mandelson and Tony Blair were/are with the sinister rich. Every time you think you've seen the worst of it, something else emerges.

The latest data from the ONS does not support the idea that morbidity is being compressed in the UK. Instead, it suggests the opposite trend: an expansion of morbidity, meaning people are spending more years of their lives in ill health rather than fewer.
Prove me wrong.
If you look carefully, you'll find my name as an acknowledgment in Prof John Hodges' seminal book on cognitive assessment for clinicians.
Like many others, I did my Ph.D. in cognitive assessment of dementia with John at Cambridge; and he was/is an outstanding supervisor.
