Het debat hangt er laag en de zon wordt er langzaam in grijze veelkleurige kranten gesmoord, en in alle gewesten wordt de stem van de kiezer met zijn vragen en noden, gevreesd en gehoord.
En in de politieke ruimte verzonken de partijen verspreid door het land, christendemocraten, liberalen, geknotte populisten, antirevolutionairen en links-radikalen, in een grootsch verband.
Bskb wees een beetje lief voor elkaar. En daarom, om de politieke week af te sluiten, en als variatie op het bekende gedicht van Marsman:
Denkend aan Holland zie ik breede consensus traag door oneindig laagland gaan. Rijen ondenkbaar ijle lijsttrekkers als hooge pluimen aan den einder staan.
