Re: free speech
Unfortunately, it feels like there's censorship in the form of block lists. I've seen a couple of blocklists floating around that would block people based on their political leaning. Chances of people ever getting removed from those is probably pretty low π€

A computer application window displaying about 9 lines of Python code using a DIDComm library to send end to end encrypted messages. The 9 lines of code have been split into 19 to make it easier to read and understand what's going on.
I'm glad to live in a world where, with only a few lines of code, you can send end to end encrypted messages to someone's mobile device.
Effectively 9 lines of code! Formatted for readability.
Written in #Python and using a #Rust library under the hood.

I am of the firm believe that paywalled specifications do not promote interoperability in practice. Even if the specs promote interoperability themselves, the fact that they require payment to access the specs deters would-be adopters/hobbyists/enthusiasts from using the spec.

A form on a job application about diversity and inclusion that says "In an effort to promote equal opportunities and reinforce hiring practices at our organization we have included below some optional demographic questions. Your responses, or your choice not to respond, is entirely anonymous and will not be associated with your application." The question being raised is: if it's anonymous, then how does the information help reinforce hiring practices?
I was just poking around and... can someone explain to me how it's possible to reinforce hiring practices if it's not associated with the application? This makes absolutely no sense to me.

I'm curious if it'll add Alt text to images that don't need it, like element borders and other layout centric images, or blank pixels used for copy protection

Does anyone know of any good #ui #ux resources that I can take a look at to learn how to make a good web app (for mobile and desktop)? And maybe some place to figure out how to make decent looking color schemes?
I'm primarily a backend engineer, so all this UI stuff is kind of difficult for me...

#SoftwareEngineering Tip:
If you need to run tests on an open source piece of software, but can't find the commands, check the GitHub action history (or GitLab pipelines)
If the tests are automated, they kind of need to run the commands...

One of my favorite things that I've done recently has been making #IoT devices accessible over the web in a secure and authenticated manner. All while using a small amount of code on a #RasberryPi computer

Turns out, building the software I want is easy. Building services with DIDComm makes things so much easier with the libraries that we've been able to build up
