Rural and urban communities organize against pesticide exposure, establishing environmental protection zones around urban centers and advancing legal and scientific precedents against fumigations. Embracing the lens of body-territory, this movement is working to eliminate gender-based violence in the homes and fields where food producers live and work. In this view, land is inseparable from embodied life-not a commodity, but a living relationship-signaling a profound epistemic shift that challenges the dominant agricultural system at its core."
