When I look for sewing how tos it is the same 5 AI generated websites with different URLs & mostly incorrect info. I have to scroll 7 pages down to find a blog from 2014 to find what I need.
I'm quoted in the Minnpost on a different topic.

The most dramatic was all those black birds that got in the house and were killed by the cat. The basement was covered in feathers and blood.
I had kind of a whacky childhood & sometimes I reflect on choices my parents made when my kids are at the age I was when whatever happened. Last night I was looking at my 17 yo reflecting that my dad went out of town for a YEAR when I was 17. I was left at a suburban ranch house with a checkbook.
That's a great compliment! I have always tried to live that way, but my 40s just made it sharper. And, 8 years ago I was 40.
Facing 50, my 40s brought a lot more clarity of purpose and comfort with myself. I did interesting things in my career, took chances I wouldn't have been confident enough for when I was younger, & got clearer on my values & how to live in congruence with them.
I had a friend visit from the UK. We were coming back from Duluth & came up on Hinckley Casino and a Walmart in the wee hours & she said it was the most American thing she'd have ever seen. Then I took her to the gun counter at Walmart.
A striped cat sitting on a black skirt. He is intensely staring at a row of ruched black ribbon. There is a ruler. The skirt already has pleated trim.
Marvin loves sewing. He takes it very seriously. He especially loves the late Victorian Era because of all the superfluous trim.
They are not new. They've been there for quite a while.
My tummy was happy.
I had lunch today at World Famous Momo on Robert St in West St Paul and LET ME TELL YOU their momos and samosas are amazing.
Dakota County libraries did a board presentation a few weeks ago about digital subscription costs & was wild. That is one industry in need of some change.

Bill and I are planning our move to Belgium. 7 to 8 years we will be chilling in our apartment in Brussels.
I reread and I should clarify I that I meant *might* and this seems within their interests. I don't work at either.
I bet Sew Inviting or Nine Lives Thrift would be down for this.
One worked in a factory and the other had tons of jobs - carpenter, boar builder, farmer, antiques dealer.
It was an amazing event. You could feel the community. I have no idea where they got all those children that were bussing tables and refilling water. Pat is a good person.
A sewing cutting table with a very long black strip of fabric partially pleated into 1 inch knife pleats.
Here's hoping my pleat math is mathing. 190 inches down to 95 inches - darn Victorians and their flounce and floof.
My Gen Z son is a lover and I am usually more concerned by him not having breaks between girlfriends who he tends to date for years.
My favorite Midway CVS memory was during a huge blizzard in 2010 I decided to make gingerbread houses. I stopped my toddler to my back & trudged 5 blocks to CVS & bought overpriced candy.
15? My last machine was 40+.
#sewing sewing sky! Help! The top thread won't join the bobbin thread & gets all bunched up under the fabric. I have tried: rethreading the top thread, tightening tension, different bobbins, changing needles, blowing air in the bobbin case. Machine was tuned up 6 mos ago. What gives?
I can't believe I am the first person to mention George Jones
