I have long believed that tech companies tend to over-hire. I expect we’ll continue to see redundancies and layoffs attributed to “AI” but these will either be (a) due to misplaced confidence in the abilities of AI, or (b) because the company had too many employees in the first place.

I upgraded to 32 GB last year with RAM that I had luckily bought before the prices started skyrocketing. But it was just to future proof it because it was running just fine with 8 GB. 🤷‍♂️

I made some Grafana dashboards for my Synology NAS 👨🏻‍💻

Tried out some other text editors (want simple, lightweight, not IDEs) including Zed and Nova. Both buggy. Sublime Text—after nearly 20 years—still seems like the most solid & reliable option. 💪
